Giantex Adjustable Bed Review

Note: Giantex, primarily a renowned mattress brand, had first launched its mid-range adjustable bed model. After securing tremendous success, the company has now launched its basic model.

Giantex, iDealBed 4i and Hofish were the three brands that were pioneers of mid-range adjustable bed model. However, with time Hofish had slowed down a bit.

Although, mid-range category has seen lot of new players in the last couple of years, but Giantex and iDealBed 4i are still leading the race.

Giantex Adjustable Bed Review - Mid-range

Giantex adjustable bed, although a new entrant in adjustable beds segment has quickly made its presence felt with reasonable number of reviews and a decent rating.

All credits to its outstanding massage functionality that has been the unique selling point of this bed. At this price range, it offers 3 different massage modes, 7 intensity levels and 3 massage timers (10 mins, 20 mins and 30 mins).

Let's first take a quick look at its feature set before moving into detailed feature-wise review.

As shown in the image here, the head section can be tilted up to 60 degrees and feet section can be tilted up to 45 degrees.

These articulation angles are standard and as per industry standards. In fact, the feet articulation in other adjustable beds is limited to 40 degrees. But in Giantex, the feet section can be lifted up to 45 degrees.

When it comes to sustaining weights and lift capacity, motors in Giantex adjustable bed can comfortably lift and hold weights up to 772 lbs.

Anything else?

Well, the head and feet articulation can be done both individually as well as simultaneously, a rare feature offered only by a few adjustable beds on the market.

Remote Control features

Giantex adjustable bed comes with a wireless remote control and 18 functions embedded.

Preset positions – Zero-gravity, Anti-Snore, Flat & TV

Perhaps, Giantex is the only adjustable bed in this segment that offers most of the mandatory preset positions.

Out of the total 5 preset positions, it offers 4 and the only position missing is Lounge (which can of course be memory programmed, if needed).

  • Zero-gravity
  • Anti-snore
  • Flat
  • TV

Memory programmable positions

Yet again, Giantex adjustable bed comes with 3 memory programmable (savable) positions while its contemporaries in this price range offer only 2 programmable positions.

  1. Just adjust the head and feet sections to your desired angles
  2. Long press either M1, M2 or M3 buttons and your position is saved
  3. Next time, just at the touch of a button, the bed will auto tune to the saved angles.

Massage functionality

As mentioned in the intro, massage functionality is one major feature in Giantex adjustable bed that is likened by a majority of users. It is powerful yet ultra-quiet.

Massage modes

Unlike traditional adjustable beds that come with standard massage functionality, Giantex bed frame, instead offers 3 different massage modes (variations) of – Pulse, Wave and Constant.

Massage intensity adjustment

And again, rather than giving only 3 intensity levels (low, medium and high), Giantex adjustable bed frame comes with 7 different intensity. This gives you the flexibility to tune the massage intensity to precise desired level.

Massage timers

The remote has dedicated options to time the massage functionality as well. You can chose between 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes.

  • Just select the massage
  • Set the intensity level
  • Set the timer slot

And massage functionality turns-off automatically on reaching the set time.

USB ports

Giantex adjustable bed frame comes with 4 USB ports, 2 on each side. That's the maximum number of USB ports any adjustable bed has to offer I hope, at least in this price range.

Height Adjustability

Like in all latest adjustable bed frames, even Giantex comes with 6 leg units and offers 3 different heights to chose from.

Each leg unit comes with 4 inches and 6 inches individual pieces, when combined they give 10 inches of overall height.

Mattress Retention System

Giantex adjustable bed comes with mattress retainer bar at feet level.

Flashlight

One feature that which is common in most adjustable beds but somehow missing in Giantex adjustable bed is under the bed lighting system.

However, it comes with remote control flashlight feature. Anyone of these two features are a must in latest adjustable beds and Giantex is offering flashlight instead of under the bed lighting system.

Conclusion

Giantex has all the features of a mid-range adjustable bed. While the price is decent and equal to its contempories, the number of reviews and the overall rating reflects the customer satisfaction levels.

As mentioned in the introduction, Giantex has secured significant customer acquisition stats in a very short time period. The massage functionality has been the real game changer. Giantex offers 3 different massage modes, 7 intensity levels and 3 massage timers.

Head and feet adjustments

Giantex might be a basic adjustable bed model but when it comes to head and feet inclination, it competes with all the leading brands.

The head section can be tilted up to an angle of 60 degrees and the feet section up to 45 degrees.

Lift motor capacity

However, when it comes with lift capacity, it is perhaps lagging behind others in the segment. While the mid-range model sustains 770lbs, the basic model sustains 660lbs of weights.

Height adjustment

While, most other basic models come with fixed height, Giantex however has come with 3 different height adjustments.

It has 2 individual leg units of 4-inches and 6-inches and when combined they offer 10-inches of maximum height.

Remote Control

It offers wired remote control with 6 buttons embedded. All of these are dedicated to head and feet articulation.

While 2 each are for head and feet adjustments, the remaining 2 are for simultaneous lifting and lowering of head & feet sections.

Preset and memory positions

Well, Giantex hasn’t included any preset or memory positions. It should have at least included Flat position which is otherwise almost a must in any adjustable bed.

Other important features

Foldable frame

This is something we haven’t really seen in other adjustable beds. Giantex basic model is foldable in the middle which makes it easy to store, move or even transport.

Mattress retention system

The base comes with standard mattress retainer bar which is relatively long and can comfortably hold mattress in its place while adjusting head and feet sections.

Conclusion

This basic adjustable bed model from Giantex might not carry a lot of features but it surely has all the mandatory ones. Especially, the 65 degrees of head inclination and 45 degrees of feet inclination is on the higher side and impressive when compared with other basic models.
