Looking at the price, iDealBed 4i might appear as a low-end adjustable bed but on the features side, it’s far ahead of even medium range adjustable beds.

Motor Capacity

Before we move ahead and review this bed, we have to tell you that its design plus the motors are sourced by industry renowned Leggett & Platt.

With Leggett & Platt motors, each bed has a lifting capacity of 850 lbs each. That is in fact massive.

Tilt

The range of head tilt is again much higher than even advanced adjustable beds. You can tilt it all the way up to 70 degrees and the foot section can be adjusted up to 42 degrees.

Body Massage

Apart from head and foot section adjustments, body massage is another feature which draws people into buying an adjustable bed. That is a comfort factor and massage after a hectic day is surely a bliss. But again if massage motors make lot of noise then it’s better not too choose such beds.

GhostBed Adjustable Bed Review

GhostBed is the latest adjustable bed with features on par with Hofish and iDealBed adjustable beds.

Adjustments & Wall Hugging

Ghostbed adjustable bed base offers unlimited head and foot tilting. Another comfortable feature is that you could simultaneously lift or lower the head and foot sections. In other beds, you have to individually do these functions for each section.

However, pillow adjustment and wall hugger are not supported by GhostBed as well.

Massage

With whisper quiet massage motors installed, GhostBed has 5 massage modes and two massage timers, 30 minutes and 20 minutes preconfigured on remote. The massage frequency is somehow fixed and there is no option to adjust intensity levels.

USB Ports

There are 2 USB ports, one on each side of the bed.

Height Adjustability & No. of legs

This is one grey area as Ghostbed does not offer height adjustability. It comes with fixed height of 12 inches above the ground.

However, it comes with 6 legs. The two middle legs offer remarkable stability to the entire bed frame, much needed while performing adjustments or massage functionality.

Motor Capacity

Each bed has a lifting capacity of 750 lbs.

Under-bed Lighting & Flashlight

In mid-range adjustable beds segment, neither Hofish nor iDealBed 4i but only Ghostbed offers both under-the bed lighting system and flashlight.

Conclusion

While all these three beds in mid-range category come at the same price but feature-wise each of them have their own takeaways. Although, Hofish is a proven brand and best seller as well but it lacks massage functionality.

CHECK OTHER SIZES & PRICES

Reverie 7S Split-king version falls under high-end category and comes with 2 separate beds and 2 separate remote controls, one for each bed.

Some of the high end features that are not included in Reverie 7S include under-the-bed lighting system, USB ports, no remote holders, sleep timer and alarm. Perhaps, owing to lack of these features, 7S can be said to be more of a mid-range adjustable bed than a high end version.

Mobile App

You can now do all the remote control based functions through the Bluetooth powered mobile app for Apple devices or via the free for tablet PCs. However, “wake up” by lifting the head section feature which is part of Reverie 8Q is not included in 7S mobile app.

If you are looking for an adjustable bed with either low price tag or would want to start with a modest one that has all basic features to be an adjustable bed, then I would suggest you to go for Classic Brands Adjustable bed for the following reasons.

Pragmatic falls under split-king category and hence has two separate beds. However, only one remote control is included as part of the package but you can separately buy another one for the second bed from the manufacturer.

Assembly

Assembling the components is much simpler than it might initially look. All required components for assembling are included in the package along with a detailed installation guide.

As per several user reviews, it won’t take more than an hour for even a newbie to put together the entire bed. Most part of the bed comes assembled and all you have to do is just put the motors at right places as indicated in the guide, join the lift pistons and the retention bars at the feet level.

Setting up the bed again easy and less time consuming and in case you need some quick help, then there is the step by step installation process in the user manual for quick reference.

ShipShape Adjustable bed’s shipping includes both the bed base and bed frame packaged together.

If the only drawback that makes this ShipShape bed lag behind in low end adjustable beds segment is the missing of flat button, then the major plus is that the package includes headboard brackets that are otherwise not provided by any of the other low end beds.
